How WordSteady works

WordSteady is built around one idea: real progress comes from small, repeated actions done well. Each daily session is short, focused, and designed to help words stick.

1. You learn one word properly

Each session introduces a carefully chosen word with its meaning, pronunciation, and a clear example. The goal is not memorisation, but understanding — knowing what the word means and how it is used.

2. You practise spelling and recognition

Short exercises reinforce correct spelling and help you recognise the word quickly when you see it again. This builds confidence and reduces hesitation while reading or writing.

3. You use the word

A simple “use it” prompt encourages you to apply the word in a sentence you would actually write or say. This step is crucial — using a word actively is what makes it stick.

Why this works

WordSteady avoids speed drills, gimmicks, and overload. By focusing on repetition, recognition, and real usage, it strengthens long-term retention and improves comprehension over time.
